Change 4 Life Sports Leaders Festival

Friday 24th June 2016 Morgan, Bradley, Cameron and Ryan from KS4 were selected to rep-resent Longdon Hall School as Sports Leaders at the Staffordshire Change 4 Life Festival at Keele University.

On arrival over 2000 children were at the opening ceremony where the day’s events were introduced and they had the opportunity to take part in a physical exercise session. The Sports Leaders then met the world famous Stoke City FC mascot ‘Pottermus.’

The children and sports leaders were then divided in to selected groups.

The Longdon Hall Sports Leaders were situated in a group with 316 Primary aged children and successfully lead them in an exciting 90 minute festival of Change 4 Life inspired multi skills and disability activities.

The Sports Leaders led the activities in exemplary fashion. It was an absolute pleasure to see the Sports Leaders put their skills to the test that they have developed at Longdon Hall School. The students led activities for children with different levels of disability. This was a fantastic achievement for our students as it demonstrated their ability to promote social interaction and confidence within their ability to lead successful activities to so many children.

Well done lads, you should be proud of your achievements!!!
