Welcome to Longdon Park School
Based in stunning grounds in Derbyshire, Longdon Park provides education for children between the ages of 7 and 18 who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.
As specialists in our field, we recognise that children with autism need to be taught in a different way; a way that is individual and relevant to them. We see time and time again that when children are happy, confident and well equipped to manage the day-to-day challenges of life, they thrive academically.
To achieve this, we take a holistic approach to learning that wraps therapeutic care and educational support around the individual needs of each child. Within small classes in specially designed rooms, children have the space and support they need to progress at their own pace.
With a variety of therapists on hand, children are well supported in all aspects of their social, emotional and academic development here at Longdon Park. That support is extended to our children’s families too. We work closely in partnership to support families, so together we can help our children achieve their potential.
"Daniel has settled in so well and the teachers and staff are wonderful. The school is absolutely fantastic and Daniel and our family are lucky to have found it." Parent
"We are so impressed with the way that Dylan has settled into school. Longdon Park have gone above and beyond to meet his needs and it's wonderful to see him so happy - thank you!" Parent
"Since Samir has started at the school he has regained his confidence and is understanding a lot more about his ASD. His behaviour at home has changed and we believe the school has helped him to achieve this as he is a different child to twelve months ago." Parent
"He has made so much progress, more than i ever expected at this early stage and i feel this is a credit to you and the staff who actually 'get him.' I forgot what it was like to not have my phone constantly ringing and Harry making a full week of education - it's unheard of!" Parent
"I believe Dominic has had more educational hours in this term than he has ever had and i am so grateful to all the staff for their dedication and hard work. Thank you so much for all you do." Parent
